Coming to New York and D.C. this Fall – REACH Prayer Breakfasts

Jesus calls us each by name. Stop and think about it for a moment. Jesus called you by name to “come, follow me.” Where do you go when you follow Jesus? His way is the way. He brings the good news of God’s love and mercy to each and every person; He multiplies His efforts by bringing this good news to others through those He has called. So, if we follow Jesus and truly become like Him we must share God’s love and mercy with others.

The New Evangelization is a phrase commonly heard in the Catholic subculture. We often use it as though everyone understands what we mean. Blessed John Paul II described the New Evangelization as “new ardor, new methods, and new expression” in sharing this good news of Christ’s love and mercy for the world. We all need help to discover what new ardor, new methods and new expression looks like in our day to day life and to be inspired to live the New Evangelization.  What does that look like when we are with our family members who may not practice their faith anymore? What does it look like with our friends we meet on the weekends? With our neighbor across the street?

FOCUS has launched an initiative this past year to engage the wider Catholic community, believing that it is vitally important for all Catholics to be equipped to share the good news with their families, neighbors, co-workers and communities. FOCUS has also been called the premier new evangelization organization in the nation. The key to our success is that we do not simply evangelize; we multiply our efforts by training evangelizers. REACH is our opportunity to share what we do best with Catholics of all ages. REACH new evangelization prayer breakfasts are opportunities to be equipped with the necessary tools for you to reach your city for Christ. This fall we have two such opportunities in New York City on Friday, November 15 and in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, December 3 (more details below). Each REACH event includes prayer (Rosary and Mass) and breakfast with a program featuring the finest Catholic speakers on the New Evangelization. Not only will they inspire you to live out the New Evangelization, they will give you the tools to do so in your everyday life.

Who do you know in New York or Washington, D.C. that could benefit from a morning of prayer, fellowship and solid teaching and training in Catholic evangelization? Invite them and equip them to REACH their city for Christ. More details and registration are available at site.focus.org/reach
