Vote For Life Campaign Reaches Tens of Thousands

Last month, we launched a social media campaign to encourage college students and young adults to vote in tomorrow’s election. We’ve seen an incredible interest in our online campaign, with impressive support from our missionaries on campus in getting students to become aware of how to register to vote and how to vote absentee.

Since we launched the new website in September, thousands of people have visited to register and apply for absentee ballots, thanks to resources from our friends at CatholicVote.org. Students were given the chance to read Catholic voter guides, profiles of local and national candidates, and free downloads of social media images created for them to share on Facebook and Twitter. Additionally, thousands downloaded images to use as their profile and banner images on Facebook and Twitter. On Facebook, thousands were reached with our posts emphasizing the importance of voting to protect the dignity and sanctity of all life; our top post was viewed by more than 65,000 people.

“So many of our students were thrilled to see the materials we had for getting out the vote,” said Bradley University missionary Amy Brammer. “A lot of my friends from other schools and students here at Bradley changed their Facebook photos to reflect the movement and get the word out about voting for life.”

As we continue our efforts on campus to protect life, we hear many stories including Raquel’s.
